OMG! I want to go :p Kollase Allveelaev G kassett oli kõige esimene kassett, mida mäletan ennast kuulamas :D
Kollane Allveelaev G viib kuuekümnendatesse
Kuldsete kuuekümnendate kuldlaulude eestimaine esitaja ansambel Kollane Allveelaev G annab tänavu suvel kolm vabaõhukontserti: Pärnus, Saaremaal ja Haapsalus.
Eelmisel aastal andis ansambel välja oma neljanda helikandja “Sa oled mul peos”. Sellelt plaadilt tulevad suvekontsertidel esitusele näiteks „Waterloo loojang“, „Südameasi“, „Kõik võib olla“. Nende kõrval ei jää esitamata ansambli leivanumbrid „Vaikus on kuldne“, „Olla võib halb aeg ka hea“, „Rendime saarele sauna“, „Jälle kordub kõik“ ja muud igihaljad kuuekümnendate hitid.
Ansamblis Kollane allveelaev G mängivad ja laulavad Ivo Linna, Meelis Punder, Antti Kammiste, Kaire Vilgats, Dagmar Oja, Toomas Vanem, Jaan Karp ja Tiit Kõrvits.

Neljapäeval, 16. juunil Pärnus Ammende villa aias.

My convo with myself. Twitter.
Well, I guess I'll go for the tea. However, our tea/coffee break is only at 11 and it's 9:30 now. I want to sleep.
I should probably go and make some tea or go and make some photocopies or prepare for some exam revision or make some lesson plans.
No asap apparently. I still have to teach in 35 minutes. Grrahhhh. Bored and tired and tired and lacking sleep.
So yes, once more, the holidays, please. I've basically got left 5 full days of lessons and today and then some pointless half days

Tallinn/Stockholm 13.-15.mai
Üle hulga aja sai jälle Stockholmis käidud. Eelmine kord jäi lausa eelmisse sajandisse - aasta oli siis 1997. Reis oli päris lõbus, tänu mõnedele toredatele sellidele, kellega mitte kunagi igav ei hakka. Näiteks lendas nende kaasabil Kumu eest minema üks suur õhupall, lendas uhkelt üle Tallinna... Aga pärast Kumu tulid Bastioni käigud ja sealne giid oli nii karm tädi, et suutis ka kõige suuremad lobamokad vakka sundida.
Sadade meetrite kaupa käike Rootsi ja Ingeri bastionides.
Mõned käiguelanikud.
Tulevikku viiv rong. Me algul sinna peale ei mahtunud ja läksime tulevikku jala. Aga tagasi olevikku sõitsime juba rongiga. Bastioni käikude ja Stockholmi vahele jäi pikk öö laevas, kusjuures enamuse me kajuti ukse taga toimunud actionist õnnestus mul maha magada.
Aga hommik võttis meid vastu kerges päikesepaistes :)

A sunny Easter Sunday morning
Yesterday was a good day. We spent most of the day outside, doing some garden-work and later having a barbecue in the sunshine. The first barbecue of this year. The first day when you didn't freeze in a T-shirt. The first butterfly I saw this year. The real Estonian spring. We went to the river and waited as our dog was having a nice swim, she was happyhappyhappy about that. Then we spent some time at our neighbours', chatting. I hope this summer will be a good one, safe and relaxed, and I can always cross the road to visit people I've known all my life or all their lives. I'm so glad they're back, at least for the summers. My holidays start in less than two months' time and I can't wait, even if that means having to mow the lawn constantly.

Saigi meie viimane võimlemispidu peetud. Üritasin mitte väga pingsalt asja üle mõelda, siis ei olnud nii kurb. Tööpäev oli kokkuvõttes täiesti mõttetu - lühendatud tunnid ja enamus rahvast juba teatris proovides - majas valitses täielik viimsepäeva eelõhtu. Vaatasime 2x20 minutit videosid ja seejärel kõlgutasin niisama jalga. Mul on juba nädala algusest saadik kurk kergelt valus olnud, täna õhtupoolikuks otsustas lahkuda ka enamus häälest. Õnneks ei ole see järgneval kolmel päeval mu töövahend ja homsel öölaulupeol võin ju ka sosistades laulda (mis ongi parem mu kõrvalseisjatele).
Sõin just õhtusöögiks müslit piimaga, ühe banaani, hunniku viinamarju ja valget šokolaadi. Nüüd mul sellest kompotist süda kergelt läigib. Peaks ühe pirni tasakaalustamise mõttes peale sööma.

Though it feels longer as I started watching it almost as soon as it came out.

I got so many things done yesterday. Cleaned the whole flat, did a bit of laundry, had a nicely relaxed long lunch with friends at a fancy restaurant and then marked all the tests there were to mark. ALL of them. Then I also watched the latest episode of The Vampire Diaries and read quite a lot. Today I have the feeling I won't get much done. Luckily the sun has come out.
On the BRIGHTER side of life - I might not have chocolate allergy. I might have cacao allergy instead. Which might, at least in my head, mean that I can still eat white chocolate but I can't eat anything that has cacao in it. And there's cacao in a lot of things... Ärkasin täna hommikul üles ja mul olid silmad JUMALA paistes. Silmalaud nagu õhupallid, nii et silmi oli raske lahti hoida. Tõmbasin siis tuka silmile ja läksin vapralt tööle. Suutsin seal olla kella kaheksest kella seitsmeni. Siis otsustasin, et kui ma KOHE koju ei lähe, olen ma täiesti ebanormaalne. Positiivne on see, et päeva jooksul harjusin silmade lahti hoidmisega ära, paistetus aga eriti alla ei ole läinud. Elagu mina!

April Fool's
My usual question - where did the month of xxx go? Where did March go?!? I demand an answer.
This week has been pure hell, to put it very bluntly. Back at work after the spring break and after putting our clocks forward. I've been at work for nightmarishly long hours. And then, well, I've been at work. Some more. A bit.
I've also been trying to figure out how to get my laptop's recharger fixed. Now it's working again but it seems that not for long. I'm sick and tired of it.
What I'm even more sick and tired of is dreaming about sort-of-real-life at nights, but not real life per se but the worst scenarios of that-said-real-lifish situations. And remembering all the nightmares. It's not fair!
The retraining thingie on Wednesday was pointlessness squared. Honestly - hitting the wall with a fly swat?!? For exam preparation? You gotta be kidding me. Apparently he wasn't. Geee. And he was so gay! I wasn't the one to voice my impression by the way. His dear wife and everything. I mean, a retraining session where you hear about the lecturer's wife and see a lot of neon-coloured fly swats? Not my cup of tea. He treated us as if we were half-witted children.
Sometimes I really want to hit everyone who approaches me with the sentence that includes words "work" and "next year" and "why". I don't want to talk about it, not until I have signed and I don't want to explain myself and I just don't want to think about it at all. Which I'm obviously doing. Denial.
The other personal favourite of mine is the question "Can you feel the nervousness and anxiety in the air?" Oh yesss, I can, do you have to remind me of that on an hourly basis?!?!
And does everyone have to blabber on about what they've heard about him? I CAN'T form an opinion of him based on my gut instinct this way! And I need to do that to put my mind at ease. Please, just gossip somewhere else. Pretty please.
And no, I don't want to discuss who was crying and when and why. It makes me feel almost guilty that I haven't cried at all over the matter. Why? Because I don't have time. I guess. Or because I'm slightly numb. Emotional overload.
What I do feel passionate about, is the person who's responsible for all this shit. So passionate that I refuse to write about him.
I know things sound really bad and depressing but they aren't. I can assure you. I don't have much energy left right now and I have to be at work tomorrow morning, again (yup, it's Saturday), but otherwise life's good.
Those two seconds on Wednesday evening really made my week. The utter surprise in her face was totally priceless :D :p Yes, it was so worth it.

Where did February go? And half of March?
So, I'm a year older. Or a decade. And I can't get over it. The things that should be and the things that are. No definite answers at work concerning next year. No nothing. Feeling trapped again, slightly overworked. Or rather, ignore the "slightly". Reached the point where I don't want to do anything. Just took last night and this morning off and did nothing. This nothing included watching two films - Under Suspicion and Never Let Me Go. The first one being a Hollywood thriller the other a British dystopianish piece. Liked the former and loved the latter. I feel as cryptic as my sentences.

Watching stills from the Kidz video, laughing my head off, that's going to be EPIC :D The clothes are killing me :D

Otherwise, my day has been a blast, gave 4 lessons in the morning, sent out a CV and a letter of motivation, cooked a bit, fitted some shelves and then I was being completely brainless and wrote some fabulous sentences accompanied by the following discussion:"ei noh, pane, et ta meelitab inimesi ligi selle ballooniga ja siis pane mõttekrõõps." Oh, and then I checked some translations and found out that polar bears lived on the South Pole. Probably together with
THE PENGUINS.

I love the fact that we'll get anything in between 32 below and 20 above on Friday. Otherwise, 30 below isn't funny. I was wearing two sweaters, my ski pants and a down feather coat this morning and it was just around 25 degrees (or a bit more). When it drops to 30 or lower, I physically wouldn't be able to put anything else on as I wouldn't be able to move myself then. Right now it's only 15 below and bright sunshine, a cafe meet-up is in order in no time. And yes, as always, minus 15 does feel warm if compared to minus 25.

Kogu see teadmatus, kuulujutud ja ebakindlus hakkavad mind kergelt endast välja viima. Ma võin küll hirmsasti püüda olla ja näida rahulik ja otsida tuhat asendustegvust, et ei oleks aega mõelda, aga siis tuleb keegi jälle oma versiooniga ja ikka peab seda kuulama ja ma tunnen, kuidas muutun aina rahutumaks ja rahutumaks. Võib-olla ma peaksin hetkel tegema hoopis midagi muud ja elama hoopis muudest printiipidest lähtudes, aga ma ei taha ja ei saa. Ja lõppkokkuvõttes ei sõltu kõik need otsused üldsegi minust ja ei ole vähimatki põhjust juba praegu endast välja minna. Seda ütleb see mõistlik osa minust, see mõistlik osa ütleb veel, et sellise tempoga ma küll järgmised seitse kuud vastu ei pea. Ebamõistlik osa aga ei tee kuulmagi.

Sam's back!!!!!!!! The real Sam. The Sam with a soul. I haven't loved an episode of SPN as much as I loved this one far ages. It was probably the best episode of season 6. The hellatus was so worth it :p And they mentioned all my favourites - Harry Potter, LOTR, The Da Vinci Code, King Arthur! Plus dragons. And Sam was all puppy-eyed and concerned and loving and hugging and knew how to talk to people without hurting their feelings :D And Dean's smirk behind his back was absolutely priceless. I'm sending my biggest thanks to all the people who have made SPN ten times as wonderful as anything can be.
Bobby: They're not like the Loch Ness Monster, Dean. Dragons aren't real.

Dean: Which says what? That they live in Middle Earth?
Sam: No. Caves.

Bobby: As far as I can gather this dates back to around the fourteenth century.
Sam: What language is it?
Bobby: Da Vinci Code? Real obscure Latinate. Going to take my golden years to translate it all.

Dr Visyak: There aren't many dragon swords around any more. Five or six tops worldwide. And there's the sword of St. George and of course there's Excalibur

Dean: Ahh, that is not real. Is that real? Is it Excalibur?
Dr. Visyak: No. This is the sword of Brunswick. Love of my life.
Dean: So, what's with the cement shoe?
Dr. Visyak: You know, binding a sword to stone used to be all there is to protect them.
Dean: Alright, how do we get this puppy out?
Dr. Visyak: Come on, you know this one. We need a brave knight who's willing to step up and kill the beast.
Hahaaa, and of course Dean is no Arthur, so he said it's the twenty-first century and blew the stone up with explosives. The downside of it was that the sword broke in half. That was hilarious :D So Sam and Dean went to kill the dragon with a broken sword forged in dragon's blood :D And the dragon lived in the sewer.
Just slightly off topic, I've just found out that in Welsh Excalibur is called Caledfwlch. How does one pronounce that escapes me.

I know I've neglected my blog lately. The only place I seem to have time for is Twitter it seems, because it doesn't take much time to type those 140 characters. I've wanted to post here, multiple times, but then the moment has passed and well, yeah, that's that. Right now I'm under the influence of Fish Tank and it makes me want to watch other British films. I've started with Doctor Who, but it might not be the best choice after Fish Tank, me thinks. Work has been crazy, the last couple of weeks have been crazy. I've given a countless number of lessons, gone to a couple of birthday parties, started taking a yoga class, been to the cinema and eaten out a couple of times, done some translating and been writing the workbook, visited my mum, cleaned the flat and done a million other useful and not so useful things. Everything just feels weird and I think I'm entering the movie-mode any moment. I'm not sure it's good or bad. At least I'll be less on edge, but everything will still get done. However, it means I'll feel as if I were watching my life from afar.
