Mika is a puppyyy. Being so cute should be illegal.

Mika's concert was the best concert I've ever been to. Seriously. It was so positive, warm and genuine, the crowd was absolutely superb (not very Estonian-like, I was really astonished) and all of it was just pure joy and happiness. And huge white bouncing balls, soap bubbles and confetti. Lots and lots of soap bubbles and confetti. The way he said "Lola" and how he basically giggled, yes GIGGLED. Cuteness overload squared. And for once I'm lost for words. Luckily he isn't:: "Tallinn show just gave me goosebumps, thank you so much, it was such a privilege to share new songs with a crowd like that XX!!" (Mika's Twitter)

I'm so very sorry, Bryan, and I'll never stop listening to your music or coming to your concerts, but this time Mika was just unbeatable.

To conclude - utterly shameless eyelash porn.

Edit: Blaah, leidsin just juhuslikult pildid, kus Mika käis laululava kaare peal kõndimas.

Our train trip or there and back again (no hobbits)

A seriously blurry picture, but here he is with Keith. No spring chicken any more, but all the more amazing. He doesn't have to bring in ginormous robot-elephants, clowns (I'm officially coulrofobic), all kinds of acrobats, gazillion balloons, multiple stages, confetti (ok, confetti are cool), hats, sleeves and boots on fire, gigantic monster-men, bare asses (Robbie), tons and tons of water, male pole dancing and the ilk to be the best (and you do know (or can pretty easily guess) whose tours I'm referring to). Just he and his guitar and you know every song and enjoy every bit. I'm biased, but that's what you get after listening to an artist since forever.

A white building surrounded by a white fence? Noooooo! THE back entrance of THE white building aka Arena Riga. We ended up staying at a hostel right next to the Arena, facing the back entrance. That means ... exactly. But I don't do that stuff. On principle. I might camp out but that's that. And actually I'm way too old for camping out as well. However, we did amuse ourselves by having a brief look at some not-so-young ladies waiting behind the fence after the concert, hoping to get a glimpse of the band leaving. Or rather, we were eating our hot dogs (I should seriously stop eating junk food at ungodly hours) standing in front of the hostel and those ladies just happened to be the only thing to look at (besides quite a deserted street and the white fence of the afore-mentioned building). We left them there and went to bed. I think I heard somebody scream and a car leave just as I was drifting off to sleep, but that might have been a dream. In the morning the yard was deserted, all the trucks were gone. BA had apologised to us for the slight delay of the concert because they had come from Moscow and the trucks had been sitting on the Russian border for THIRTY hours. So that the stage had reached Riga just four hours before the concert.

We did some touristy stuff as well. For some reason I find these houses really really pretty.

I love their new streetcars!

Daugava.

The symbols of Riga - St Peter's Church and the House of Blackheads.

ART. Reflection's unintentional.

Actually, most of the trip we spent on some train or other - sleeping, listening to music, reading, playing Black Stories, eating, enjoying the scenery (endless bushland, both on this and that side of the border). The train journey was quite uneventful with the following exception at Janamuiža station. What a sight it was! I was basically bouncing up and down on my seat :D

Kaelkirjakute pühapäevane vvvs.ee matkamäng

Matkamängus on kõige alus kaardi tundmine ja õigete kohtade üles leidmine. Sellega oli meil pisut probleeme. Isegi näpuga näitamine ei aidanud.

Aga julge pealehakkamine on pool võitu, niisiis sukeldusime džunglisse (pildil žunglisse sukeldunud kaelkirjak).

Esimene peatus oli Nõos. Valvab Falck.

Popkooripidu

This song because of ... stuff. My teenage years.

Tõllaratta külalistemaja ehk Pidepunkti hooaja lõpetamine

Minu päeva lemmik :)

Kuuskümmend pedagoogi tatsub hanereas üle põldude ja läbi võsa herr Sasi juurde. Siit ka tõdemus - aeg kõik haavad parandab. Suutsin nimetet härrat võtta täiesti emotsioonitult.

Tal on oma järv. Saarega.

Ja tool, millelt järve vaadata.

Ja pisike kosk, vesiveski varemetest rääkimata.
