I want
to finish renovating for real;
to start reading the 2nd book of the Rivers of London series right now;
to go to sleep and actually fall asleep;
to be able to pull myself together;
to get that tattoo;
to go to London like tomorrow;
to get rid of this fudging headache;
to lose weight;
to stop overthinking;
it to be real.

Speechless
I found his channel completely by accident, but I've never heard anything as soothing as that before. It's pure magic ❤️
And then this. It sounds so beautiful. Let me remind you the song's actual lyrics go like this:
Stained coffee cup
Just that fingerprinted lipstick’s not enough
Sleep, where you lay
Still a trace of innocence on the pillow case
Waking up
Beside you I’m a loaded gun
I can’t contain this anymore
I’m all yours
I’ve got no control
No control
Powerless
And I don’t care it’s obvious
I just can’t get enough of you
The battle’s down my eyes are closed
No control (control)
Taste, on my tongue
I don’t want to wash away the night before
The heat, where you laid
I could stay right here and burn in this all day
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
And then Harry's masterpiece (without the trumpets)
Ed Sheeran...
This post could go and on and on

This is absolutely brilliant
I'd love it to be made into a TV series, it would be SO cool! All that LONDON!!!
It just took me 45 minutes to find the embedded code to post the video on my iPad. This is utter dedication to the greater cause

So apparently my dears have chosen to use this song for the video challenge of our Christmas party tomorrow.
It sort of went like this:
Reede õhtu. Kell 16.50. Ma olen just oma asjad kokku pakkinud ja hakkan töölt lahkuma, Kuulen, et keegi tuleb mööda koridori mu klassi poole. Ukse vahele ilmub õpilane.
Õpilane 1: Tere! Õpetaja, kas teil natuke aega on?
Mina: Tere, eee, no jah, natuke on. Milleks?
Õpilane 1: Meil oleks natuke teie abi vaja.
Õpilane 2: TERE! (Uksest kargab sisse täiuslikus põdrakostüümis õpilane)
Mina: TERE!
Õpilased 1 ja 2: Meil on meie videosse vaja teid korraks.
Mina: Mis ma tegema pean?
Õpilased 1 ja 2: Õpetajat mängima natukene.
Mina: No okei. Lähme.
1. korrusel ootavad veel mõned õpilased:
Mina: Mida ma siis tegema pean?
Õpilased: Põdrale klassiukse lahti tegema ja siis teda mööda koridori taga ajama.
Mina: ??? Te ütlesite, et te tahate, et ma õpetajat mängiksin???
Õpilased: Nojaaah, seda küll.
Mina: Et kas siis õpetaja tavaline tööülesanne on põtra mööda koolimaja taga ajada???
Õpilased:??? Jah???
Pärast mõnda jooksukaadrit:
Õpilased: Nojah, me teame, et me ei ole päris normaalsed.
Mina: Oodake, kuni te õpetajate muusikavideot näete.
The rest is history.
My favourite Christmas carol. Not sure how many times I've posted it here.
Edit: So I've just checked and I posted the exact same video exactly 2 years ago on December 20.
Out of the blue I thought about K today. I haven't thought about him for who knows how long. It's actually his birthday, but I didn't realise it at first. It took me about 30 seconds to remember his last name, so let's say that time heals everything. VERY efficiently.

My Kennedy
I've just finished reading an actual book. In Estonian. It was 200 pages and it took me about 4 hours. Yes, it's a miracle and a real success story. I'm not even kidding. I read an actual book that I actually finished. I can't remember when the last time was that this happened. I can't remember if I read any books this summer. For some reason I doubt it. The irony is that I do read, hundreds and hundreds of pages every week, but it's not real books and it really bothers me, a lot. I do love reading, I just find it extremely difficult to start a book and then to concentrate on the story and then to finish it. Everything is so much easier online.
But back to the book I've just finished. It's not a world-renowned timeless classic. Of course not. It's Stig Rästa's autobiography. The one I was supposed to get for Christmas but literally couldn't wait until then. I never read autobiographies. I very rarely read in Estonian. But there was something about it that drew me in immediately. Ever since I saw him speaking about his book a couple of weeks ago on TV I knew I had to go and buy it. I'm most likely not even the target audience but there's something about him that has always fascinated me. I don't know what it is but just looking at him sort of explains my more recent fascination with somebody else. Maybe one wouldn't be there without the other or vice versa or something as deep and meaningful as that.
Anyway, I'm not saying that the book was good. It sounded honest and was easy to read but there were several places where I would have liked him to add something or take something out or explain something in greater detail. There were certain places that shocked me and then there were the places that hit so close to home that they left me gasping for air a bit. And, to balance everything, there were a number of others that I didn't honestly understand at all. It's somehow comforting to know that somebody like him can be as successful as that but still deal with all the issues he mentions. It's a cliche, I know. There were a couple of pages where his narration was just so raw that it hurt and then the pages where the description wasn't as harrowing but the thing he described was so relatable that only the thought that I'll most probably have to go through with a similar experience once again pretty soon made me ache. There are time constraints and I have to find a good week to start but there are no good weeks to start in the next 6 months. It's a vicious circle.
He mentions astrology towards the end of the book and that he doesn't believe in it. I don't believe in it either but this is not the first time I'm reading something and have a feeling that the person writing it is just in some way too similar to me. I've just checked online and his birthday is February 24. He's a fucking pisces. For some reason I knew it in my heart although I had even no idea how old he was, let alone his birthday. Well, apparently he's a year older than me.
All in all, reading his book made me feel better. I still find it quite impossible to actually start doing things, but it made me feel better for half a day and it's a start I guess.

When everybody is Niall and nothing matters (except some bears)
Niall, dear, if you had turned your head faster, you'd have actually broken your neck. This question, everybody's reaction and Harry's ridiculously ridiculous answer is the best entertainment I've had in weeks :D Thank you bears, thank you xx
Source: tumblr
If something spells out RAINBOW BEAR PANIC ATTACK then this is this video. I'd never thought I'd write "bear panic attack" in black and white :D But these 10 seconds of SHEER TERROR were so worth it :D I think I've been laughing for 2 hours straight :D
An afterthought: Niall, I have never loved you as much as I do right now. You're the best. And you can't hide your emotions to save your life (or Louis' life :D).

OTRA is over
So it's really appropriate to end it with the same thing I posted before the start of the first show. It's been such a bumpy ride, but I've learnt quite a few things about myself in those nine months. And Helsinki was so worth it :)))))
HAPPY NOVEMBER!
Wednesday, 21 October 2015
It's the autumn holidays. I woke up with a sore throat this morning. Typical. I haven't done anything besides reading, watching bad daytime TV and eating today. Maybe it was the only way my body could get me to slow down a bit, as I haven't had time to sit down properly for weeks now. Let alone spend a whole day on the couch and do nothing. The first cycle has been a blur, all work work work, folk dance practice, online photography course, some wonderful people and a couple of great galas I had the opportunity to go to. Yesterday my co-worker and I conducted a BYOD seminar at the education festival. If I myself say so, it was a success, I couldn't have done it without him. We do work well together. We also saw Benedict Cumberbatch as Hamlet last night at the cinema, he was perfect. I know I'm biased.
Oh well, the photography course starts in 10 minutes. I'm not even sure whether I'm taking the course because of photography or because of the wonderful accent of our teacher.

I'm still quite not sure why I got it, but here it is.
As for this one, I'm very sure why WE got it and it's not mine, it's ours, I was just the lucky one our project leader picked to go with him to the gala :)

The wonderful Piirissaar 22.08

Austria 17-25 July
The first and probably a very lasting impression: HEAT HEAT HEAT HEAT HEAT HEAT!!! Yes, it was hot. Sunny and hot and glorious.
Here we go then!
Day 1. Endless travelling from 6 am to 6 pm. The highlight of the day might have been that the AC stopped working on the train 2 hours into the 4-hour journey and by the time I got off I literally couldn't breathe because the inside of my nose was swollen from the heat. Another highlight was Boeing 777 flying the hour-long flight between Frankfurt and Vienna. I seriously thought I was on the wrong plane and I'd end up in China or Canada instead. Not that I wouldn't have minded Canada or anything...
We went swimming in the evening, which was a bit pointless because the water was just too warm.
Day 2. An international folk festival day in Maria Saal with some exceptionally bad Chinese orchestra and an absolutely fabulous concert in Wolfsberg in the evening.
Kärntner Freilichtmuseum in Maria Saal.
Fancy wearing some woollen socks in this heat? No? Why not?
The Irish performers. The wigs were VERY distracting.
Day 3. We hit jackpot when our car was the only one in the shade on the parking lot when we came back from our hike in Tscheppaschlucht.
It was mostly stairs.
The gorge
and the river were pretty magnificent and the temperature was almost bearable.
When you suddenly find the Estonian flag in the middle of nowhere :)
And there's a magnificent waterfall
and an even more magnificent and extremely fat pig waiting for you at the end of the hike.
For some reason this landscape looks surreal. I'm waiting for a giraffe to come out because it's as if it were a painting by Navitrolla.
Lines...
Nessi actually looks quite alright in this picture, a minute ago she looked as if she were dying because of the relentless heat.
When there's a path
and a field
and a church,
one just has to go and take a zillion pictures of the path and the field and the church. And the sun was setting.
Day 4. We left at 7.15 am because it wasn't too hot then. Yet.
Lake Wörthersee, Klagenfurt. The pier and the palm trees!
I can't say there were too many people there to catch the first boat of the day. So we had the boat to ourselves (almost).
The scenery was worth the early wake-up call!
Velden and Velden Castle where the rich and the beautiful go to, also known as a superbly posh hotel that didn't look too posh in reality. Yes, we stood on the red carpet, I think.
siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick ride! (If you got the reference, then I feel so so sorry for you, I actually copy-pasted it to get the number of "i" right.)
Our next stop was Pyramidenkogel observation tower that actually tried out my fear of heights. I won ;)
This is what Wörthersee looks like.
The Flying Fox or the Dying Fox? Thank you, camera, for focusing in on the green cord. That was highly appropriate and necessary. Thank you, again. But don't worry, I still love you to death.
When ordinary people go to Minimundus, they have a look at the famous buildings,
but not me because there were trains!
All these
cute little trains!!!
A picture of Arc de Triomphe? No, it's a picture of a train.
The CN Tower. It was MUCH more easy to take a photo of this one than of the real thing.
They didn't have Big Ben or Tower Bridge or the Gherkin?!? Buckingham Palace would also have been nice. Or Harrods in Christmas lights. The National Gallery and Nelson's Column? Or London Eye at least...
What they did have were places I had just been to or was going to in a few days' time. Like Pyramidenkogel
or Castle Hochosterwitz
or St Stephen's Cathedral
or Bled castle and Bled island. All of them were more magnificent in real life I might add.
Bathing birdie in front of the Louvre ;)
Day 5. In a heatwave there's no place as cool as the mountains.
Driving up.
After hiking for about 45 minutes, there was our destination. Or at least it should have been visible. Back there. In the cloud. Doesn't look very welcoming, does it?
Tell me about poor visibility.
I should have brought my bike. Definitely (not).
Actually the view from the top was quite breathtaking.
Despite some stubborn clouds.
After finishing lunch I did have some time to crawl around a bit.
Some take a bike, some take a parachute and then end up waiting for the weather to get better. If it ever does. Good luck! I preferred coming downhill on my own two legs.
Day 6. The day we go abroad. To an actual foreign country. Called Slovenia.
Lake Bled in all its glory featuring a row boat, a Pletna boat, two stand-up paddle boarders, Bled Castle, the mountains and some clouds.
A staircase to heaven on Bled island.
The colour!
I loved these boats!
The castle had loads of stairs. It had loads of heat as well. More than needed actually.
Day 7. Fairy-tale castles and towns in the simmering heat.
Castle Hochosterwitz with all its 14 gates
and quite a lovely courtyard.
The view from the castle was spectacular
especially thanks to the patterns
in the fields.
Quite a deserted St Veit
and Klagenfurt.
Day 8. Back to Vienna, which is by far the most beautiful city I've ever been to (relax, London is still my everything and won't be replaced by anything).
Just
look
at
the
capital
of
Austria!
Tom Cruise was there at the premier of Mission Impossible 5. He left a day before I arrived. How rude!!! He also left this in front of the Opera House. How am I supposed to take a photo of the Opera House when it looks like a construction site?
Some
other
bits
and
pieces? No, a napping man instead.
St Stephen's Cathedral
It was so hot that even
Starbucks had decided to go on ice.
They got my name right! They got my name right! Almost....
There wasn't only architecture, there were also some people.
The Town Hall was cleverly covered,
Day 9. Homewards.
Because I had only 24 hours in Vienna, I decided to choose only one museum to go to. I chose Mumok because of Roy Lichtenstein and
Andy Warhol. It was worth the money and now I have a Campbell's tomato soup magnet on the door of my fridge :D
My obligatory photo of the underground. I always take pictures of the underground. I've taken pictures of a station at every underground system I've been to. *Starts counting and realises she has been to something like 3 cities that have an underground system. Maybe 4.* Oh well, at least all in all I have a lot of pictures, because all the Tube stations are just so different.
The best view of Vienna. My first ever attempt of making a panorama.
Here we go then!
