Hammer of the Gods

What an episode of SPN - where else could you meet the archangels Gabriel and Lucifer, the Hindu goddess Kali, Norse god Baldur, the Hindu god Ganesh, Norse chief god Odin, Chinese god Zao Shen, Roman god Mercury, the Haitian vodou god Baron Samedi and the fourth horseman of the Apocalypse, Pestilence (driving a car with a license plate that reads SIKN TRD, sick and tired) all together in 40 minutes?

What did I learn from the episode - loads. The most important things were probably that Lucifer chose to hide himself and his secret message to Sam and Dean into the porn film Casa Erotica and that the numerous Gods of this world are at war with each other. Odin mocking Zao Shen's World Turtle image was kind of funny. Kali killing Gabriel with the fake angel killing sword wasn't that funny any more. I was relieved to see him alive (his FAKE sword), but the relief was not to last, because after ten minutes Lucifer killed his brother with the real sword once and for all. I kind of liked Gabriel as Trickster and of course they had to kill him off.

Despite it being a sort of crack episode, it was vital to the plot.

What on earth was Ghostfacers promo doing in the middle of the episode?
