A part of the film review of Easy Virtue (given as homework)

What I noticed about the clash of cultures was that the American people would live a more easy-going life, as opposed to the more polite and reserved demeanor of the Brits. The Brits appeared to have been really attached to their old traditions like going on big hunting parties as seen in the film. Also, they took great consideration of who their children would wed and had respect for marriage, as opposed to the Americans who, on occasions, had even several marriages. So to round it up, the Americans indulged in mundane pleasures while the British cherished their traditions.

What am I going to do when they finish school in spring? Who would use phrases like "indulge in mundane pleasures" and "cherish their traditions" in their homework then?
