London 18.-23.01

I kinda really like Coca-Cola here ;)

The Shard

The view was just sososo pretty

I will remember this light till the end of time and beyond

Just to prove we did do work there as well :)

But the city was just so much more exciting than anything else.

And once again, the weather was fabulous. Not exactly in the middle of a heat wave this time, but mostly sunshine and around zero.

It was also the first time since I bought my camera that I didn't take it with me when going abroad. So the pictures are crap. Sorry...

I want

to finish renovating for real;
to start reading the 2nd book of the Rivers of London series right now;
to go to sleep and actually fall asleep;
to be able to pull myself together;
to get that tattoo;
to go to London like tomorrow;
to get rid of this fudging headache;
to lose weight;
to stop overthinking;
it to be real.

Speechless

I found his channel completely by accident, but I've never heard anything as soothing as that before. It's pure magic ❤️

And then this. It sounds so beautiful. Let me remind you the song's actual lyrics go like this:

Stained coffee cup
Just that fingerprinted lipstick’s not enough
Sleep, where you lay
Still a trace of innocence on the pillow case

Waking up
Beside you I’m a loaded gun
I can’t contain this anymore
I’m all yours
I’ve got no control
No control
Powerless
And I don’t care it’s obvious
I just can’t get enough of you
The battle’s down my eyes are closed
No control (control)

Taste, on my tongue
I don’t want to wash away the night before
The heat, where you laid
I could stay right here and burn in this all day

Yeah, that's what I'm saying.

And then Harry's masterpiece (without the trumpets)

Ed Sheeran...

This post could go and on and on

This is absolutely brilliant

I'd love it to be made into a TV series, it would be SO cool! All that LONDON!!!

It just took me 45 minutes to find the embedded code to post the video on my iPad. This is utter dedication to the greater cause

Sunday, 20 December 2015

So apparently my dears have chosen to use this song for the video challenge of our Christmas party tomorrow.

It sort of went like this:

Reede õhtu. Kell 16.50. Ma olen just oma asjad kokku pakkinud ja hakkan töölt lahkuma, Kuulen, et keegi tuleb mööda koridori mu klassi poole. Ukse vahele ilmub õpilane.

Õpilane 1: Tere! Õpetaja, kas teil natuke aega on?

Mina: Tere, eee, no jah, natuke on. Milleks?

Õpilane 1: Meil oleks natuke teie abi vaja.

Õpilane 2: TERE! (Uksest kargab sisse täiuslikus põdrakostüümis õpilane)

Mina: TERE!

Õpilased 1 ja 2: Meil on meie videosse vaja teid korraks.

Mina: Mis ma tegema pean?

Õpilased 1 ja 2: Õpetajat mängima natukene.

Mina: No okei. Lähme.

1. korrusel ootavad veel mõned õpilased:

Mina: Mida ma siis tegema pean?

Õpilased: Põdrale klassiukse lahti tegema ja siis teda mööda koridori taga ajama.

Mina: ??? Te ütlesite, et te tahate, et ma õpetajat mängiksin???

Õpilased: Nojaaah, seda küll.

Mina: Et kas siis õpetaja tavaline tööülesanne on põtra mööda koolimaja taga ajada???

Õpilased:??? Jah???

Pärast mõnda jooksukaadrit:

Õpilased: Nojah, me teame, et me ei ole päris normaalsed.

Mina: Oodake, kuni te õpetajate muusikavideot näete.

The rest is history.

My favourite Christmas carol. Not sure how many times I've posted it here.

Edit: So I've just checked and I posted the exact same video exactly 2 years ago on December 20.

Out of the blue I thought about K today. I haven't thought about him for who knows how long. It's actually his birthday, but I didn't realise it at first. It took me about 30 seconds to remember his last name, so let's say that time heals everything. VERY efficiently.

My Kennedy

I've just finished reading an actual book. In Estonian. It was 200 pages and it took me about 4 hours. Yes, it's a miracle and a real success story. I'm not even kidding. I read an actual book that I actually finished. I can't remember when the last time was that this happened. I can't remember if I read any books this summer. For some reason I doubt it. The irony is that I do read, hundreds and hundreds of pages every week, but it's not real books and it really bothers me, a lot. I do love reading, I just find it extremely difficult to start a book and then to concentrate on the story and then to finish it. Everything is so much easier online.

But back to the book I've just finished. It's not a world-renowned timeless classic. Of course not. It's Stig Rästa's autobiography. The one I was supposed to get for Christmas but literally couldn't wait until then. I never read autobiographies. I very rarely read in Estonian. But there was something about it that drew me in immediately. Ever since I saw him speaking about his book a couple of weeks ago on TV I knew I had to go and buy it. I'm most likely not even the target audience but there's something about him that has always fascinated me. I don't know what it is but just looking at him sort of explains my more recent fascination with somebody else. Maybe one wouldn't be there without the other or vice versa or something as deep and meaningful as that.

Anyway, I'm not saying that the book was good. It sounded honest and was easy to read but there were several places where I would have liked him to add something or take something out or explain something in greater detail. There were certain places that shocked me and then there were the places that hit so close to home that they left me gasping for air a bit. And, to balance everything, there were a number of others that I didn't honestly understand at all. It's somehow comforting to know that somebody like him can be as successful as that but still deal with all the issues he mentions. It's a cliche, I know. There were a couple of pages where his narration was just so raw that it hurt and then the pages where the description wasn't as harrowing but the thing he described was so relatable that only the thought that I'll most probably have to go through with a similar experience once again pretty soon made me ache. There are time constraints and I have to find a good week to start but there are no good weeks to start in the next 6 months. It's a vicious circle.

He mentions astrology towards the end of the book and that he doesn't believe in it. I don't believe in it either but this is not the first time I'm reading something and have a feeling that the person writing it is just in some way too similar to me. I've just checked online and his birthday is February 24. He's a fucking pisces. For some reason I knew it in my heart although I had even no idea how old he was, let alone his birthday. Well, apparently he's a year older than me.

All in all, reading his book made me feel better. I still find it quite impossible to actually start doing things, but it made me feel better for half a day and it's a start I guess.

When everybody is Niall and nothing matters (except some bears)

Niall, dear, if you had turned your head faster, you'd have actually broken your neck. This question, everybody's reaction and Harry's ridiculously ridiculous answer is the best entertainment I've had in weeks :D Thank you bears, thank you xx

Source: tumblr

If something spells out RAINBOW BEAR PANIC ATTACK then this is this video. I'd never thought I'd write "bear panic attack" in black and white :D But these 10 seconds of SHEER TERROR were so worth it :D I think I've been laughing for 2 hours straight :D

An afterthought: Niall, I have never loved you as much as I do right now. You're the best. And you can't hide your emotions to save your life (or Louis' life :D).
